WCU EMS is an organization staffed by student volunteers providing pre-hospital care to
students, faculty, staff, and visitors of the West Chester University Community. Our
designation in Chester County is QRS-58. The QRS means Quick Response Service which
is recognized by the State of Pennsylvania Department of Health as an Emergency Unit.
The number 58 is the designated unit number issued by Chester County.
EMS is staffed by Pennsylvania EMTs, First Responders, and other Attendants. Most
members are at least CPR certified.
